World: Of Goo

They only knew that they had built something together. And as the last ball vanished into the pipe, the tower below collapsed, returning the remaining goo to the earth, waiting for the next time the world needed to reach for the stars.

As the tower reached toward the sky, the wind picked up. The Goo Balls shivered, their black eyes wide as the ground fell away. They passed through a layer of white mist and saw others of their kind—green ones that could be detached and moved, and translucent ones that floated like balloons. World of Goo

The tip of the tower neared the mouth of a massive, vacuum-sealed pipe. It roared with a mechanical hunger. With one final, desperate stretch, the topmost Goo Ball was sucked into the darkness. Then another. And another. They only knew that they had built something together

They were simple creatures. When one touched another, they bonded with a satisfying squelch . The Goo Balls shivered, their black eyes wide

They zipped through the cold metal veins of the world, leaving behind the green hills and the wind. They didn't know where they were going. They didn't know that the "World of Goo Corporation" was turning them into beauty cream, or electricity, or fuel for a digital sunrise.
