If you have a Samsung Galaxy, you have an extra built-in scanner: virus android

Long-press your phone's power button, then long-press the Power Off icon on your screen until the "Safe Mode" prompt appears. Tap it to reboot. New icons appearing that you don't remember downloading

Once in Safe Mode (you'll see the label at the bottom), go to Settings > Apps . Find anything suspicious and tap Uninstall . as they contain critical security patches.

Always install system updates, as they contain critical security patches.
