The story follows , a young chicken egg who dreams of hatching into a rooster rather than ending up as someone's breakfast. After being taken from his mother and sold at a supermarket, Toto escapes and embarks on a dangerous journey across Mexico City to reach "Granjas El Pollón" (The Big Chicken Farms).
