A blind violinist named Sydney (or Mun in the original) receives a cornea transplant that restores her sight. However, she begins to see terrifying ghostly figures and premonitions of death.

She discovers that her donor was a psychic woman who committed suicide after failing to prevent a village tragedy. Sydney eventually realizes she has inherited the donor's curse and must race to save others from a looming disaster.

The DLC Echoes of the Eye reveals that another race, the "Owlkin," found the Eye first but hid it because they feared its power to destroy the current universe and start a new one.
