Count the number of your symbols on the page. The player with the highest count wins. Why this is a great paper game:
Draw a large, rough rectangle or circle on the paper. This is your "Kingdom Map."
Player 1 (Red) and Player 2 (Blue) take turns drawing a small symbol (an "X", a small filled circle, or a triangle) inside the map.
One sheet of paper (grid paper works best, but blank is fine). Two different colored pens (e.g., Red vs. Blue).
To control more territory on the paper than your opponent when the paper is completely filled. Materials:
If you draw a shape that completely traps one or more of your opponent's marks, you "conquer" that area, and those marks now count for you. (Draw a circle around the trapped area to claim it).
It requires thinking ahead to avoid being surrounded. Minimalist: Just pens and paper. Fast: Can be played in 5–10 minutes. If this isn't what you were looking for, Suggest a drawing-based game (like exquisite corpse)? Provide a turn-based logic game (like Dots and Boxes)?
The game ends when no more marks can be placed inside the kingdom.
