Serena Marcus grew up in a family of artists and was encouraged to pursue her passion for acting from a young age. She attended the prestigious LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, where she honed her craft and developed her skills. After high school, Marcus landed her first professional role in the 2006 television series "The Nanny Diaries."
