Prognoz

In the scientific community, refers to a series of Soviet and Russian solar-research satellites launched between 1972 and 1996.

The primary objective was to monitor solar activity, solar flares, and their impact on the Earth’s magnetosphere. This data was critical for understanding "space weather." The Fleet:

Launched in 1995 (part of the Interball project) to study the interaction between the solar wind and Earth's magnetic field.

While "Prognoz" can refer to several distinct entities, it is most prominently known as a major Russian business intelligence and software company, as well as a series of Soviet/Russian research satellites.

At its peak, Prognoz served high-profile international organizations including the World Bank , the International Monetary Fund (IMF) , and the OECD .
