: Players can fight while riding Torrent, using weapons or spells. This is often the preferred method for battling large field bosses like Tree Sentinels or Dragons .

: Torrent serves as the player's primary mode of transportation. He allows for faster travel across the map and is capable of performing a Double Jump , which is crucial for reaching high ledges and navigating complex terrain.

If Torrent dies, he can be resummoned, but doing so during combat requires the player to consume one charge of their Flask of Crimson Tears .

Torrent has his own health bar. If it reaches zero, he disappears, and the player is knocked to the ground (often leaving them vulnerable).
