To see these skills firsthand, Iketani rides shotgun in Takumi's Toyota AE86 during a downhill run. However, Takumi’s speed is so intense that Iketani loses consciousness by the third corner.

Back at the gas station, Koichiro Iketani asks Takumi how he acquired such high-level drifting skills. Takumi explains his father’s training method involving a cup of water in the cup holder—a technique meant to teach him smooth weight transfer to avoid spilling water or crushing tofu.
