HABIBI

In Arabic script , "Habibi" is written from right to left as : ح (Haa): The 'h' sound from the throat. ب (Ba): The 'b' sound. ي (Ya): The 'ee' connector. ب (Ba): The second 'b'. ي (Ya): The final 'i' possessive suffix.

It inspired the award-winning graphic novel Habibi by Craig Thompson and the film Habibi by Susan Youssef, the first fiction feature set in Gaza in 15 years.

Often used among male friends (similar to "buddy" or "my friend") to show camaraderie.
