The story begins with (Alessandra Martines) and Prince Romualdo (Kim Rossi Stuart) preparing for their wedding. However, the Dark Witch (Brigitte Nielsen), disgusted by their pure love, kidnaps Fantaghirò's father to lure the couple into a trap.
Romualdo leads an army to the Dark Kingdom, but is bewitched by the Witch, who disguises herself as Fantaghirò and kisses him, erasing his memories.
