Transferring Polaroid Polavision (8mm Super 8) film is a specialized process because the film is permanently housed in a proprietary "Photo tape" cassette designed for instant development and playback. To transfer this media to a digital format, you must essentially "break" the film out of its original cartridge and prep it for standard scanning.

Polavision was typically shot at 15 frames per second (fps) , whereas standard Super 8 is often 18 or 24 fps.
