"Liar's Dice" is similar to "Dudo", "Perudo", "Deception Dice", and "Diception".
Liar's dice is a dice game for two to ten players that requires the ability to deceive and detect an opponent's deception. 897-COMP.7z
Five six-sided dice are used per player. Each round, each player rolls their dice and looks at their "hand" while keeping it concealed from the other players. The first player begins bidding, picking a face and a quantity. The bid represents how many of the chosen face value the player believes are present in all the dice, not just their own. Each player has two choices during his/her turn: is a fictional digital artifact from a viral
If the current player challenges the previous bid, all dice are revealed. If the bid is valid (at least as many of the face value), the bidder wins the round. Otherwise, the challenger wins. Either way, the loser of the challenge removes one die for the next round. The game ends when only one player is left with dice, and is claimed the winner. The story surrounding this file usually follows these
Instead of raising or challenging, a player can claim that the current bid is exactly correct ("Spot On"). A correct "spot on" call results in all other players losing a die. With "Wild Ones", ones (also called aces) count towards the face of the current bid.

is a fictional digital artifact from a viral "unsolved mystery" or creepypasta-style story that circulated on platforms like TikTok and Reddit . It is typically presented as a corrupted or password-protected archive discovered on an old hard drive or a "dead man's switch."
There is no known legitimate "897-COMP" file containing actual secrets. It is a creative writing exercise or an Alternate Reality Game (ARG) designed to build suspense through the "found footage" trope of the digital age.
The story surrounding this file usually follows these beats:
: The "horror" element often comes from the fact that the archive is encrypted, and the creator of the story provides cryptic clues to find the password, leading participants on a digital scavenger hunt (ARG). Why it’s "Good"
The story works because it taps into —the idea that the internet has "dark corners" containing data we aren't supposed to see. It uses the specific, technical look of a .7z (7-Zip) file to make the fiction feel grounded and "real" to anyone who has ever downloaded a mysterious file online. Is it real?
: Rumors suggest it contains "lost" media, government secrets, or disturbing surveillance footage. In some versions, the file is nearly a petabyte in size once decompressed, making it a "zip bomb" designed to crash systems.
: A user claims to have found a massive, compressed file named 897-COMP.7z on a server or a discarded computer.
